14-day returns and statutory right of withdrawal

Consumers may request a return of a standard product within 14 days from the day the product is received. Where mandatory consumer law gives you a statutory right of withdrawal, you will always retain at least the rights provided by that law.

To exercise a statutory right of withdrawal, you must notify us within the withdrawal period by making a clear statement that you wish to withdraw from the purchase. You may contact us at ciao@theitalianedition.se. For online purchases, any digital withdrawal function required by applicable law will also be available on the website.

After notifying us, the product must be sent back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after your notice. Please contact us for the correct return address and practical return instructions; our approval is not required for you to exercise a statutory right of withdrawal.

Condition of returned products and packaging

You may inspect a product to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. Where permitted by law, we may make a deduction for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary for that purpose.

Murano glass is fragile. We strongly recommend reusing the original packaging where possible and packing the return carefully. The absence of original packaging does not in itself remove a statutory right of withdrawal.

Return shipping and refunds

For a return due to withdrawal or a change of mind, the customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping unless mandatory law provides otherwise. We recommend using a trackable and adequately insured shipping service.

Where a statutory right of withdrawal is exercised, we refund the amounts required by law, including the cost of standard outbound delivery where this is mandatory. Any additional cost resulting from choosing a more expensive delivery method than our standard option is not refunded to the extent permitted by law.

Refunds are made using the same payment method used for the purchase unless we expressly agree otherwise. For statutory withdrawals, refunds are made within the period required by law. Where permitted by law, we may withhold the refund until the product has been returned or you provide evidence that it has been sent back.

Sale and discounted products

Buying a product on sale or with a discount does not limit a consumer's mandatory rights of withdrawal or rights relating to faulty goods.

Custom-made and personalised products

A statutory right of withdrawal may not apply to a product made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised for you. We will identify when an order is subject to such an exception. The fact that a standard model is produced or completed after an order is placed does not automatically mean that the right of withdrawal is excluded.

Damaged or faulty products

If a product arrives damaged, is faulty or does not match your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Please provide clear photographs of the product, outer packaging and any transport damage where possible, and keep the packaging until the matter has been investigated. This helps us handle a carrier or supplier claim quickly and does not limit your statutory rights.

For a valid complaint concerning a faulty product, we cover reasonable return or replacement-delivery costs as required by applicable consumer law. For consumer purchases governed by Swedish law, the Swedish Consumer Sales Act provides a three-year period for complaints concerning original defects.

Trade and business purchases

Statutory consumer withdrawal rights do not apply to purchases made by businesses or within our Trade Program. Returns of B2B orders require our written approval in advance and may be subject to separate project or order terms. This does not affect any rights a business may have in relation to an incorrect delivery or under expressly agreed terms.
